Aviation & Travel
What is an average day at Walmart Aviation? Anything but ordinary. It’s an opportunityfor a close knit team to work together to get the job done. To strive for excellence, to provide service to our customers, and to show respect for the individual. Our flight crews make the difference Sam Walton personally flew his 1948 Ercoupe to visit early Walmart stores (and some competitors) throughout the Ozarks. In those days traveling by air as opposed to driving the hilly terrain saved valuable time. Today, Walmart Aviation honors Walton’s legacy, providing the company with a competitive business advantage through the quick, safe, and efficient movement of Walmart Associates around the world. Our maintenance people make the difference Our maintenance associates work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to ensure that Walmart aircraft always meet rigorous standards for safety and reliability. Walmart Aviation Maintenance is dedicated to training and professional development. As a result of this commitment the majority of our maintenance Associates have FAA Inspection Authority. Not only has Walmart Aviation been the recipient of the coveted FAA Diamond Safety Award, but many maintenance technicians have also received individual accolades. Our scheduling and operations people make the difference Each day our scheduling Associates work to build a schedule that maximizes the productivity of the aircraft and flight crews. Together with our Flight Operation Coordinators, the scheduling team makes certain that the Aviation department efficiently and reliably meets the time sensitive travel needs of our passengers. Walmart Aviation is also home to Beaver Lake Aviation, a full-service FBO, at the Rogers, Arkansas, airport (ROG) where reception and line associates welcome transient aircraft and service the Walmart fleet.
