Did you know that the Walmart Realty team is one of the world’s largest real estate companies? We help people save money and live better by planning, developing, building and maintaining our stores, clubs, and distribution facilities. In turn, these sites offer our customers quality merchandise and an improved shopping experience while supporting their local communities.

We have identified and developed more than 669 million square feet of Walmart Stores, Supercenters, Neighborhood Markets and Sam's Club locations. In addition to developing new stores, we also:

• Conduct market research and planning to help make decisions on new stores
• Market excess land to retail users and developers
• Market for sale or lease former store locations
• Manage our company’s extensive real estate holdings
• Build and manage distribution centers
• Develop and manage fueling station programs
• Valuate our company’s holdings through an in-house appraisal department

Our Store Planning Group opens and renovates stores to meet the unique needs of the communities we serve, while ensuring that merchandise is up-to-date and associates are well-trained.
