Whether you’re starting out at Wal-Mart or moving up in your career, the goal of our Training and Development program is to get you going on the right foot. Each associate begins at Wal-Mart with an in-depth personal orientation. Here you will learn about the Wal-Mart culture, and learn how you can make a unique contribution working at Wal-Mart. After orientation, each division has its own training and development programs that give associates the knowledge and tools needed to succeed in their specific job. In addition to the many different training programs offered throughout Wal-Mart, Logistics University is a unique opportunity offered to Logistics associates. Through innovative technology, Logistics University helps associates learn more about their field and how to advance in their careers. Our curriculum includes e-learning content, internally developed facilitation, and nationally-branded courses with certified instructors. Other areas of the curriculum include: performance analysis, curriculum design, graphic design, technical documentation, event management, live broadcast, and video production. One of our most interesting learning tools is LogUTV. LogUTV broadcasts real-time virtual classroom training via a closed circuit network to Logistics facilities.
