It's Easy to Use

We designed Connexus™ to be user friendly. Connexus™ enables the user to access multiple windows simultaneously, allowing the pharmacist to stay at one workstation.

What is the Process?

A customer brings his/her prescription to the Pharmacy Drop-Off window. The technician scans the prescription hard copy into the computer, creating an orderly and paperless environment. All prescriptions are also assigned a priority level, establishing a filling time frame and managing the workflow.

Connexus™ uses state-of-the-art radio frequency (RF) technology to transmit all prescription information to a portable arm unit, uniquely designed for use by a Walmart technician. By scanning a bar code, the arm unit performs a National Drug Code (NDC) check, guaranteeing the correct bottle is chosen from the shelf. At this time, the prescription label prints. This process is called Scanning for Accuracy (SFA).

Troubleshooting
