Information Systems Division (ISD) Communications Intern - Kimber
I have been able to jump in and begin researching and writing articles that are posted on ISD News (ISD’s home page) since Day One. This job allows me to do a variety of things, from touring facilities to interviewing vendors for articles. The thing I find most interesting is that no two days are the same. I have the opportunity to write about different topics, allowing me to learn about a wide variety of areas. Event planning has always been an interest of mine, and this internship has given me a chance to help plan and coordinate the ISD picnic for 3,200 associates and their families. Now, that’s a big party! Although I never know what to expect each day, I love that I have an internship that allows me to practice my writing skills, meet with top executives, help plan the second largest annual event for Walmart’s largest Home Office division and really make a difference. |

As a communications intern with Walmart’s Information Systems Division (ISD), I have been exposed to different things every day. My team is responsible for supporting ISD associates by highlighting their accomplishments and bringing information to them about divisional events, team accomplishments and recognition. We also ensure information and branding related to ISD is represented correctly.
