Undergraduate Internship

As a Walmart intern, you will have the opportunity to gain a realistic job preview of working in a dynamic, fast-paced retail environment. For 20 years, Walmart’s internship program has helped students expand upon classroom lessons with hands-on, real world projects.

A Walmart paid internship will teach and give you practical skills above and beyond your classroom experience. You will gain knowledge and experience from the most successful and largest retailer in the world. Interning for Walmart will set you up for a bright and successful future and also give you the necessary experience to become competitive in future endeavors.

Undergraduate Intern opportunities vary by year and span a variety of areas, including:

  • Merchandising
  • Product Development
  • Replenishment
  • Supply Chain and Transportation
  • Accounting and Finance
  • Information Systems
  • Sam’s Club (corporate)
  • Human Resources

Past intern projects have included:

  • Redesigning the corporate Web site
  • Predicting consumer behavior to optimize seasonal product mix
  • Working with development teams to create and implement new products and programs
  • Researching Hispanic consumer behavior to determine a new store format’s optimal merchandising mix

The minimum qualifications for an internship are as follows:

  • Entering or currently in your junior or senior year of college as of May
  • Have completed your degree but are required to complete an internship before you can receive your diploma
  • 3.0 Cumulative GPA preferred
