Military Families Outreach

We Support the Children of our TroopsIn 2007, through our work with Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit educational organization behind Sesame Street, we distributed more than 400,000 bilingual, multimedia outreach kits called Talk, Listen, Connect: Helping Families During Military Deployment to military families. These kits help three to five year old children of members of the United States Armed Services, National Guard and Reserves understand their feelings, and the challenges they face during various phases of pre-deployment, deployment and homecoming. We donated a total of nearly $1.5 million for the project. The Talk, Listen, Connect kits are also available online at www.sesameworkshop.org/tlc with streaming video provided by the Department of Defense.
