United Way Worldwide
 United Way Worldwide is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to improving people’s lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities. The United Way Worldwide agency includes approximately 1,300 community-based organizations. Each is independent, separately incorporated and governed by local volunteers.
The Walmart Foundation has supported United Way Worldwide and its affiliates at a national level since 1983. When a Walmart of Sam's Club associate donates to United Way Worldwide through an optional payroll deduction program, the Walmart Foundation matches that contribution dollar-for-dollar. In 2008, associates and the Walmart Foundation contributed more than $13 million to more than 1,400 local United Way affiliates through this program Recently, the Walmart Foundation teamed up with United Way Worldwide and other organizations to help families prepare and file their taxes for free.
