More than 1 Million Associates Help a Total of 17 Million Children Every Year

Walmart and Sam’s Club associates, customers and members have contributed more than $500 million dollars to support the patients of Children’s Miracle Network hospitals since 1987. Champions presented by Walmart and Sam’s Club

Each year, the Children’s Miracle Hospital Network chooses one child from each state to represent the millions of children facing severe medical challenges through the Champions program.

Each Champion child receives a $500 Walmart gift card and a trip with his or her family to Washington, D.C. to visit the capitol and then to Orlando, Fla., for a Champion’s Celebration event at Disney World.

The 2009 Champions met President Obama

In 2009, the Champions met President Barack Obama during the Washington, D.C. portion of their visit.
