Since 1987, when we became a corporate sponsor of Children’s Miracle Network, our Walmart and Sam's Club associates have raised more than $400 million for the network’s 170 children's hospitals. Every dollar raised by each store and club is given to Children's Miracle Network hospitals in the communities where we live and work. Our customers and associates went above and beyond in May of 2007 by raising $10 million in one month and we are striving for that goal again this year! April 20th through May 31st are known as our Six Miracle Weeks. During this time we will be selling Miracle Balloons at all of our locations to help miracles happen at all Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
Every day, the 170 Children’s Miracle Network hospitals use the latest technology and techniques to save children’s lives. From broken bones to heart transplants, these premier hospitals provide care to children from every walk of life.
Children's Miracle Network hospitals have pioneered many breakthroughs in pediatric medicine including cancer treatments, brain surgery, prosthetics and organ transplant techniques.
Children's Miracle Network hospitals are keeping thousands of kids out of the hospital through successful community outreach programs and clinics. These programs teach parents and children about healthy lifestyles, safety and disease prevention.
After facing life-threatening illnesses and injuries, 53 young “Champions” representing the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) met with President Obama in March 2009. These very special ambassadors – who are living testaments to the medical care CMN hospitals provide across the country – are part of the Champions Across America program presented by Walmart and Sam’s Club.
