Walmart Foundation Donates $3.4 Million to Help Americans Get Back To Work
The Walmart Foundation announced a total of $3.4 million in grants to nonprofits focused on helping Americans get back to work. Specifically supporting programs that take regional approaches to developing and deploying a skilled workforce, this funding from the Walmart Foundation will benefit seven nonprofits across the U.S.

Walmart and Sam's Club Giving $4.5 Million to Educators Through Its Teacher Rewards Program

Through its Teacher Rewards program, Walmart and Sam’s Club locations nationwide expect to give 45,000 educators gift cards to help teachers offset the cost of classroom expenses.

Walmart Foundation's Job Training Initiative

The Walmart Foundation has stepped up with an initiative aimed at providing job skill training to those hit hardest by the economic downturn. This year alone, we awarded more than $6.5 million in grants to programs designed to help train displaced workers and prepare them for the next chapter in their careers.

Walmart Foundation Supports U.S. Green Jobs

A $5 million grant to the U.S. Conference of Mayors will help create jobs in a variety of emerging green industries. With the Walmart Foundation’s donation, the Conference is awarding six grants to non-profit organizations that have a history of working with mayors.
