Wal-Mart Helps More Than 8,000 Students Pay for College
As another school year approaches, more than 8,000 students will get help paying for college with scholarships from the Wal-Mart Foundation. This year, the Wal-Mart Foundation will award students more than $8 million through three programs – the Wal-Mart ASSOCIATE, Higher REACH, and Sam Walton COMMUNITY scholarships – to help students live better lives via continued education. Last year, we supported education with more than $67 million through programs such as Teacher of the Year, scholarships and support for local schools and universities.
Check back in November to apply for Fall 2009 scholarships.
