Walmart Store and Sam's Club Giving Programs
The Walmart Foundation is proud to support the charitable organizations that are important to our customers and associates in their own neighborhoods. Walmart’s founder, Sam Walton, introduced the philosophy, “operate globally, give back locally.” Today, the Walmart Foundation continues to support local, state and national organizations that provide opportunities in the communities we serve. Through our Walmart Store and Sam’s Club Giving Programs, Walmart Stores and Sam’s Clubs can recommend grants of up to $5,000 to local nonprofit organizations. Funding Priorities The Walmart Foundation supports programs and initiatives in four main areas of focus: Education, Workforce Development / Economic Opportunity, Health & Wellness and Environmental Sustainability. The Foundation also has a particular interest in supporting the following populations: veterans and military families, traditionally underserved groups, individuals with disabilities and people impacted by natural disasters.
