Diversity Relations

Empowering Multicultural Communities

Our Diversity Relations department establishes and maintains productive, trust-based partnerships with minority and women groups, and community leaders to continually improve our reputation as a socially responsible company. Diversity Relations is also responsible for our supplier diversity programs, designed to grow and expand our base of minority- and women-owned suppliers.

Diversity Relations also promotes diversity awareness among our associates. And the department provides clear and consistent messages regarding our commitment to diversity through internal communications including:

  • The WIRE (our intranet)
  • Our weekly news service
  • Home Office notifications
  • Celebrations of cultural heritage months
  • Other special programs.

Engaging our associates.

In 2005, we established the Associate Resource Groups (ARGs) program for our Home Office. ARGs are filled with associates who have common interests or backgrounds, working together to contribute to each other’s professional development, foster a sense of community, and enhance their own and collective contributions to our business.

Our ARGs include:

  • Asian Pacific Islander Associate Resource Group (API)
  • Hispanic Latino Associate Resource Group (HLARG)
  • Leading and Empowering Associates with Disabilities Associate Resource Group (LEAD)
  • Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual & Transgender Associate Resource Group (PRIDE)
  • American Indian & Alaskan Native Associate Resource Group (Tribal Voices)
  • African American Associate Resource Group (UNITY)
  • Women Associate Resource Group (Women’s Resource Council)
