2007 EEO-1 Data Charts
Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. is an employer and retailer of choice for individuals and communities throughout the country. As part of our continued commitment to diversity, we are proud to release the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Commission report, known as EEO-1, publicly for the third year in a row. The 2007 EEO-1 data allows our company to review the overall gender and racial/ethnicity of our workforce in an effort to monitor our company’s diversity. Our latest EEO-1 report shows continued increases in the total numbers of female and minority associates companywide. Key observations include: - Wal-Mart’s female associate base increased by more than 30,000 for a total of 856,586 female associates, a 3.65 percent increase compared to 2006.
- Wal-Mart’s minority associate base increased by more than 40,000 for a total of 492,945 minority associates, a 9.54 percent increase compared to 2006.
- Total minority representation increased in all EEO-1 job categories.
