Statewide food program launched

August 13, 2008 Needy children and their families could benefit from a new statewide "BackPack Program" launched by the New Hampshire Food Bank with help from Walmart. The program -- in 20 communities serving an estimated 1,100 students -- will provide healthy and nutritious food to at-risk children by providing a hot meal that will feed the child's family on weekends.
