Wal-Mart looking to put grocery in Chicago?; Mayor lists needy sites of 'food deserts'

September 25, 2008 Will Wal-Mart pick one of Mayor Daley's top six sites in need of a grocery store to try again to build a supercenter in the city? Wal-Mart spokesman John Bisio said Wednesday that the Arkansas-based retailer has identified no Chicago sites for a supercenter that sells groceries, but Wal-Mart representatives have looked at the sites.
