The wait is over: Sam's Club finally to build in Edison

April 26, 2009 After more than four years of waiting, Edison residents will soon see a new building sprout up at the former Ford Motors plant site: a Sam's Club. They may also see a major Route 27 strip mall get revamped. Sam's Club, the wholesale chainstore, will be the first structure erected at Edison Town Center, the retail and entertainment complex replacing the 98-acre former industrial site on Route 1, said Allen Magrini, a vice president for developer Hartz Mountain.
