Fondren gets funding help for teachers

September 24, 2009 Walmart and Sam's Club recently awarded funds to teachers at Fondren Middle School to help with the purchase of classroom supplies for the new school year. This is part of Walmart's national Teacher Rewards program. On average, teachers spend more than $500 a year out of their own pockets for classroom supplies, according to the American Federation of Teachers. Read on
