In advance of the “America I AM: The African American Imprint" exhibit opening, people in more than 40 communities, and Walmart customers across the nation, got a preview of the project through a traveling exhibit. “America I AM Across America," the multi-sensory experiential “super truck” hit the road in July 2008, visiting African American museums, festivals, landmarks, schools, several Walmart stores across the country and the Walmart Home Office.
