Better Health Care Together CoalitionThrough the Better Health Care Together Coalition, we’re joining with leaders from business, labor, government and academia to call for reform to American health care. Health care costs are growing at an unsustainable paceAcross the country, too many Americans live without health coverage. At the current rate, by 2010 health care costs will be double what they were in 2000, or roughly one-fifth of the nation’s GDP. That puts a tremendous burden on our government and our economy. We’re working together for changeTo address these problems, in February 2007, Walmart, AT&T, the Howard H. Baker, Jr. Center for Public Policy, the Center for American Progress, the Committee for Economic Development, the Communications Workers of America, Intel, Kelly Services and the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) launched the Better Health Care Together Coalition. We’re working together for solutionsOur participation in the Better Health Care Together coalition reflects our belief that business, labor and government have to work together to solve the nation’s health care challenge.
