Pilot Program Broadens Affordable Prescriptions
Building on our successful $4 prescription program, we’re helping Michigan customers save money on medications – no matter how far they live from a Walmart pharmacy location – with free mail delivery of 90-day supplies of 300 generic prescriptions. The medications still cost just $10, but now Michiganders can have them sent straight to their doors with no gimmicks or fees. Begun in May 2009, this new pilot program aims to help the state’s customers – particularly the more than 2 million that are uninsured or underinsured – get access to affordable medications. Nationally, our $4 prescription program has already saved customers $2 billion on their prescriptions, with $43 million of those savings in Michigan alone.
