Reynolds Group named Minority Carrier of the Year
Walmart Carrier Relations Host Supplier Summit The Walmart Carrier Relations team hosted a minority carrier supplier summit for new and existing minority- and women-owned carriers who are looking to increase their business with Walmart.
The Walmart Carrier Relations Department encompasses three parts: carrier administration, carrier analysis, and carrier performance. The Carrier Administration Team handles carrier contracts and payments. The Carrier Analysis Team ensures carrier rates are competitive and identifies markets where carrier services are needed. The Carrier Performance Team tracks the performance of our carriers and ensures Walmart and the Carrier uphold their agreement for services. “We’re glad that you’re here to learn more about increasing your supplier opportunities with Walmart,” said Chris Sultemeier, senior vice president, transportation services, Walmart. “As the world’s largest private transportation fleet, we’ve learned that we can’t transport everything on our own. Your help as carriers for the company ensures that we are able to provide our customers with products and services they are looking for at the right time.” The carrier supplier summit included topics on supplier diversity, more detailed information about the carrier relations program, and opportunities for carriers to increase their business with Walmart. The day concluded with an award presentation to the “Minority Carrier of the Year.” The award was given to The Reynolds Group LLC. Roger Reynolds, president and CEO, accepted the award at the summit. The Reynolds Group LLC is a national truckload carrier and full-service logistics company based in Louisville, Ky., that provides access to all major traffic lanes across the United States, Canada and Mexico.
