Volunteers fix up parkThe Progress - Index (Petersburg, Virginia) PETERSBURG -- About 50 volunteers spent Monday working hard to spruce up a place where generations of area residents have gone to have fun. Workers from the Walmart Stores Inc. distribution center in Dinwiddie County dedicated their day to making repairs and renovations at Appomattox Riverside Park off Ferndale Road, just across the river from Matoaca.
